Barbara Broucke

Barbara (she/her) is an intimacy coordinator and makeup artist based in Belgium. She has been working internationally as a makeup artist for over 15 years, including an extensive period in stunning New Zealand. She has a background in communication management and teacher training.

Through her work experiences, she has witnessed an urgent need for a more effective approach to coordinating intimacy, nudity, and simulated sex scenes with consent, boundaries, and vulnerability in a way that moves beyond shame. Motivated by this insight, she pursued further education and training with IPA for her intimacy coordinator certification.

With a dynamic perspective rooted in creative and educational backgrounds, she co-creates attractive storytelling whilst keeping the director’s vision and the professionalism and safety of the cast and crew at the forefront of every production.
