Chiho Asada

Chiho (she/her) has been working as an English/Japanese interpreter in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. She has worked as an interpreter between directors and cast members on a number of Hollywood Japan co-production films, and she has also worked as an interpreter for directors and producers who are adapting Broadway musicals to the Japanese market. Her credits include being the interpreter to the directors of Columbia Picture’s The Grudge and The Grudge 2, 20th Century Fox’s Shutter, and Cameron Mackintosh’s musical theater productions of Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, and Miss Saigon. Her years of working as an interpreter and communicating closely with directors and actors with compassion makes her a perfect match with the world of intimacy coordination. Chiho is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and holds a BFA in Design and Production.

She recently finished working as an intimacy coordinator on the first Japanese film to ever work with an IC and currently has several Netflix Japan projects underway. She is eager to spread the awareness of intimacy coordination to the Japanese film industry.
