Jessie Fell
Jessie Fell (she/her) is a certified intimacy coordinator for film & TV based in the UK. Jessie encourages a safe and collaborative space on set, where actors and directors can thrive creatively during intimate scenes. Her unique set of skills enable her to negotiate sympathetically between actors, directors, production, and crew, always with sensitivity, understanding, and humor. With a comprehensive understanding of production dynamics and qualification in MHFA (Mental Health First Aid), she has honed her skills and ability to work effectively in both high stress and time sensitive filming environments. Jessie has over fifteen years experience in the industry as a costume designer, working on productions for HBO Max, Amazon Prime, BBC, Apple TV, Channel 4, Sky and more. Jessie’s wealth of experience as an HOD collaborating with actors, directors, and crew informs her approach to IC work. She has specific IPA training in choreography for intimate scenes as well as training in movement direction and choreology with experts Viola Bruni and Olga Masleinnkova. She has performed as a Drag King and has many years of experience in stand-up comedy/storytelling, as well as training in clowning and improvisation. Jessie has lectured and given talks at Bournemouth University, The Watersprite Film Festival, and for Film London’s Equal Access Network. As a mixed race, queer individual she is keenly aware of the importance of diversity and inclusion (of all kinds) within the industry. She is currently a member of BECTU’s TV Drama Diversity Working Group and the Intimacy Coordinator Branch Committee.
