Marla Friesewinkel
Marla (she/her) is a sex-positive, trauma-informed Intimacy Coordinator and Actor with extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera. She is known for her respectful and adaptable approach, tailoring her methods to each unique production. In a setting where individuality, autonomy, and trust are paramount, Marla prioritizes the needs of performers and colleagues. As a trained mental health first aider, she supports performers' emotional well-being while passionately advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and promoting diversity. Marla’s goal is to highlight the beauty and emotional impact that intimate scenes, including nudity and simulated sex, can bring to the audience’s experience. Her contribution to the Yugo BAFTA award-winning short film Halfway House showcases her dedication to creating safe and emotionally resonant work. Marla remains dedicated to evolving within her field, constantly seeking new knowledge and approaches to enhance her work and promote inclusivity on every set. Based in Munich and often working in the greater Cologne area, she is available for global projects and speaks both German and English fluently.
