Natasha Martina

Natasha Martina (she/her) is a Vancouver-based intimacy coordinator with over 20 years of experience as an actor, movement coach, and university professor who specializes in teaching movement for actors and acting. Her expertise allows her to create a versatile movement vocabulary to assist a director’s vision when dealing with scenes of an intimate nature while nurturing a supportive and equitable environment. Natasha designed Vancouver Film School’s first-ever intimacy course for actors, and she continues to work with VFS Directing students helping them to navigate intimacy on set under the guidance of an IC. Natasha is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and, through her training as a Somatic Movement Educator (BMC®), she is skilled in assisting actors through potential triggers that may arise on set from intimate scenes with sensitive content. She completed her master’s degree from Central School of Speech and Drama (London, UK) specializing in Movement Pedagogy and Movement Direction and is certified as a Laban Movement Analyst, yoga teacher, and GYROKINESIS® Trainer. Some of her IC credits include: Totally Killer (Amazon); The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story (Lifetime); and The Irrational (Pilot – NBC). She has movement-directed and coached numerous theatrical productions nationally and internationally and served as a theatrical intimacy director for numerous productions.
